Tokyo International Anime Fair 2012
The first two days were totally dedicated to business while the following two were focused on the debut of Season 2 (featuring the members of 1Nen25Gumi) and a SoloFritto themed event.
During the event, it was possible to meet our characters and take pictures with them.
You can see a video of the 1Nen25Gumi’s event here, and a video of SoloFritto’s one here.
We should have exhibited at TIAF also in 2011 but the event was cancelled due to the earthquake followed by a tsunami which caused the nuclear disaster of Fukushima prefecture.

Creative Market Tokyo 2011
On that occasion, our webisodes series “How to make Onigiri” was awarded the WatchMe!Tv Supporter Award by Fuji Television Lab, a company of Fuji Television Group.
In the slides, you can see our booth and also a picture of the award ceremony.
Moero Japan!
As many of you remember, on March 2011, a strong earthquake, followed by a huge tsunami, made thousands of victims and was the cause of the nuclear disaster in the prefecture of Fukushima
To help the victims and the refugees, we organised this charity event in cooperation with TNW.
The event was mainly composed by 2 areas: a cosplay area and a dance one.
We had Minami Sara (a voice actress) as an MC and 5 dancers (active on NicoNicoDouga): Sakane Yui, Bea, Yukohamu, Chishiri and Iroha.
At that time, Sakane Yui was collaborating with us as Rococo for Mitsume Temo Season 1.
The attendees of the event wrote messages for the refugees of the disaster on a big message board .
Dams Film-Teatro Festival
This time, 2 of our historical “Italian” team members, our copywriter Roberta Scarcella and our sound designer Filippo Saccucci, attended the event.
In one of the pictures you can see Roberta introducing the videos and the project.
Since we were screened to the Festival, the event organisers sorted out a small “Temo-shop”, whose profits were donated to assist the refugees of the earthquake/tsunami disaster that had taken place earlier that year.

Mitsume Temo’s lesson on design
The workshop was attended by students from 16 to 23 years old.
You can see some of the students’ artworks here in the slide show.
At the same time, Takis learned a lot from that experience and from students suggestions. Some of the changes that Temo had in the following years came directly from the experiences made during the workshop.
Design Festa Vol.32
The event was close to Temo’s first anniversary, so we made a big panel of Temo holding a cake.
People willing to take picture with the panel would then partecipate to a riff where they could win one of the following prizes:
- Kurarin figure
- Papercraft
- Phone strap
- Calendar
- Takis plush
In addition, we exhibithed the drawings that won our first calendar contest and few of them were distributed as prizes as well.
During the event, it was also possible to listen to the preview of what would have been our first single, “The Super Ribbon Song”.
*Special easter egg: the costume Takis was wearing was inspired by this drawing made by one of our fans.
I’ve come to Japan to protect Moe subculture!
This workshop, whose title is chosen with a provocative intent, was meant to discuss some of the many ethical concerns linked to the Designer’s job and furthermore, to the domain of visual communication.
“What a Designer is expected to do to be right? What must he protect? What he should fight for?
Browsing among some general considerations as a start-up, the seminar focused on the defence of the Moe sub-culture against the slandering manipulation policy that is carried out by the local media.
The duty of the modern Designer, who nowadays must engage in the protection of youth trends and culture, was widely discussed during the symposium.
The final part was centered on Takis Proietti Rocchi’s experience in Japan as a Designer from the West and on “Mitsume Temo and Round Earth Committee” project, which is in many ways connected to the arguments investigated during the workshop.
Nonetheless, Mitsume Temo herself assisted to the event and actively participated to the discussion.
Design Festa Vol.31
During the event it was possible to play rock-paper-scissors with Temo and, depending on the result of the match, it was possible to win prizes including:
- Postcards
- Magnets
- Baloons
- Mug cups
- iPhone cases
- Papercrafts
- Booklets
2009
Jagda Tokyo 28th edition: Takis Proietti Rocchi x Yano Masatsugu. Cultural Talks and yatters. Personal Opinions
It was a collaborative exhibition between Takis Proietti Rocchi and Yano Masatsugu, both members of the JAGDA (Japanese Graphic Designer Association).
The exhibition lasted for 5 days, from the 17th to the 21st November 2009.
You can download the original press release here (made back in 2009).
Temo has changed a lot since then, so much that you probably will have a hard time recognizing her in her first appearence.
